As I am painting and preparing new work for my “Featured Artist” Show at the Grand Gallery in October, I am also very excited about the upcoming Artprize competition in Grand Rapids. There are more that 1200 artworks placed in a three mile radius in downtown Grand Rapids! My painting, “Along the River” will be shown at Peaches Bed and Breakfast, 29 Gay Ave SE, in Grand Rapids along with seven other really great artists. It all starts on September 23, at 6-10pm. Any questions about how Artprize will work and hours that venues will be open can be found on their web site, www.Artprize.org. You may now pre-register online to save time in line at the event. Voter registration stations are throughout the city, open September 23 – October 7, and bring a valid ID like a drivers license. Also see the calendar of events on the web site. The show of eight fabulous artists at Peaches is called “Damsels and Dragons”. We will be having many events you will not want to miss. I will be painting at most of the events from the 23rd -29th.  Please come to our gala reception at Peaches on Saturday, the 26th from 3-8, see the art, meet the artists and enjoy our cider, wine and chocolate! All eight artists will be doing demos on Sunday, the 27th from 12-6pm.

The voting code for my painting is: vote27821. You may vote for as many artworks as you like from September 23-October 7. After that the top 10 winners will be announced and you may only vote once. Voting will happen online or by text message.
